Conductor/Musical Director: Miles Harwood

We offer a warm welcome to out-of-practice or inexperienced players, while attracting and retaining skilled musicians who enjoy the sheer pleasure of making music together. We aim for a good standard and encourage members to be of an adequate proficiency to cope with a wide range of music. Our more experienced players are highly valued, and have opportunities to feature as occasional soloists.

The orchestra has about 40 players, half strings and half wind and brass, ranging in age from 16 to over 80.
